The Bible and

                 Contemporary Life

The Word of God applies to contemporary life, in that, it still tells us what God expects from us; we are expected to love and obey God (Deut. 10:12-13; 11:1). The person who does not love and obey God will ultimately pay for his or her own sins, unless that person has a substitute. The only approved substitute is the Son of God, Jesus the Christ (Matt. 3:17), who paid the price of sin when He died on the Cross over 2000 years ago for all who would come to believe in Him. Believers have been redeemed by His precious blood, and He calls people everywhere to “Repent and believe the Good News!” (Mk. 1:15).
